The DELTA administrative building in Prague Michle was completed in 2015 as an additional part of the BB Centrum urban complex. The Aulík Fišer Architects are the authors of the architectural design.
The building has an orthogonal ground plan resembling two “H” letters. The main entrance continues to the arcade with restaurants leading to a large park. The building was certified with a BREEAM certificate, thanks to its positive environmental impact.
The largest part of the building is occupied by Hewlett-Packard, Microsoft, and its division – Skype. Microsoft has materialized the idea of a “new world of work”. New, bright, and airy offices designed by SHS Architects perfectly meet the requirements of this innovative approach, focusing on maximum employee satisfaction, creativity, and productivity. Instead of traditional open-space areas with fixed workplaces, the working compartment is conceived as an ecosystem of diverse working places. There are shared work tables and enough small meeting rooms for phone calls or self-concentrated work. Meeting rooms intended for internal team meetings have write-able walls. The essential and inspiring part of the whole office space is a concept of four thematically defined hubs, interconnected with an open staircase and connecting working floors, thus creating a natural space for sharing and cooperation.
