At the ancient junction of medieval roads in the Old Town, there is a monumental Baroque noble palace, which was rebuilt by the Gallas de Campo family as their residence. The plan was designed by the famous Viennese architect Jan Bernard Fischer of Erlach, and Matyáš Bernard Braun’s workshop provided the rich sculptural decoration. You are invited to explore the uniquely preserved palace interiors. Climb the staircase into representative halls and spaces whose frescoes with antique mythology motifs reach a truly extraordinary artistic level.
