This Constructivist palace on Národní Avenue is considered to be one of the best projects of German architect Adolf Foehr, pupil of Jan Kotěra. It was built in 1930 for the Austrian financial institution Donau. There are many unique architectural details, including an original paternoster lift that is still functional to this day. You will be able to see not only the lift’s machine room and selected social rooms but also the roof, which offers a beautiful view of Prague Castle and the National Theater.
