The rooms and corridors of the baroque building of the Invalidovna were designed at the beginning of the 18th century to house war invalids and their families. In the last twenty years, the National Technical Museum as well as the Military Central Archives of the Czech Armed Forces have moved out of the building. In 2017, Invalidovna was declared a national cultural monument. This year it was transferred under the administration of the National Monument Institute, which is planning the reconstruction of Invalidovna and makes it finally available to the public.
